Item Description
A completely Plug and Play multimedia interface for connection of an external video source (e.g. DVD player) with the BMW 16:9 navigation in the 3-series e46 and 5-series e39, when no original TV tuner is installed. This is the easiest to install of all of our video interfaces and can be completed in under 20 minutes.

If you are intending to replace the original TV tuner by this interface, the Dietz adapter 1257 has to be installed additionally. This interface converts the analog picture signal (PAL or NTSC) into a digital one. For feeding in the audio signal, the signal path of the cassette/CD player is used. Reproduction of audio is consequently possible in stereo.

Models Supported:

2001-2006 3-series, including M3 equipped with 16:9 Navigation (not for i-Drive models)
2001-2003 5-series, including M5 equipped with 16:9 Navigation
