VF-Engineering - S54 Cold Air Intake - E46 M3

With the VF Engineering intake system, the stock air box and filter are replaced. By replacing the restrictive air box and air filter, there is a noticeable improvement in airflow and power.

Since the stock intake tube is retained, the size of the filter inlet diameter is limited by the diameter of the stock tube. However, VF's engineers still manage to increase the filter inlet diameter whenever possible.

They are there for a purpose, either to make your job of installing the system easier or to improve the performance of your vehicle. Here are a few of the features that distinguish VF from other competitors.

- Plastic custom molded airbox
- Multilayer filter media
- Velocity stacked air filter
- Billet aluminum MAF housing
- Uses stock MAF screen to eliminate spurious CELs
- Cold air feed duct (unlike some CAIs which give hydro-lock exposure)

Combined with software (available separately), results of up to 18hp have been gained shortly after installation.
