If you look at BMW's official specs for the new F10 M5, you'll see that the 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 produces an impressive 560hp and 502 lb-ft torque. After only a few dyno runs with this brand new M5 on our dyno it became obvious that this engine was highly underrated. We recorded a maximum power output of 545hp and 499 lb-ft torque at the wheels! When you take into account that, when measuring power output to the wheels, a decent amount of power is lost through the drive train, the reality is that the F10 M5 puts down substantially more power than BMW is willing to admit. We're excited to start working on these cars and making some truly powerful beasts!
